Welcome to the District 13, Division 7 Web Site! Division 7 is the managing authority for six local Flotillas in the Northwest Oregon and Southwest Washington area. The Division currently boasts approximately 200 members, and serves the Columbia, Willamette, and Kalama rivers.

We work closely with our active duty, reserve and civilian colleagues from U.S. Coast Guard District 13, U.S.C.G. Sector Portland and Station Portland to educate the public about boating safely, protect the environment, and keep the region's waterways safe & secure.

Operation Make Way

Operation Make WayRule 9 of the Navigational Rules requires that all vessels less than 65 feet, vessels engaged in fishing and all sailboats shall not impede the passage of a vessel that can safely navigate only within a narrow channel or fairway.

Rule 9 places the obligation on YOU, the small vessel operator. Violations of Rule 9 can result in civil penalties of up to:  $5,000  Click here to visit the Make Way site and learn more

Division 7 maintains the Operation Make Way website for our partners Sector Portland, Station Portland, local law enforcement, pilots and commercial operators.
